Many of us watch football and secretly fantasize about how to play.  If that describes you, here are some tips on how to play football and how to play great.

In football two teams compete to score points by moving the ball in the end zones of their opponents either by passing the ball from one player outside the end zone to another who’s inside, running the ball from the playing field into the end zone, or sometimes kicking the ball through an end zone.

Each team has 11 players on the field and the team with the ball at any given time is called the offense.  The other team, which tries to stop the offensive, advance and “defend” its end zone, is called the defense.

A touchdown is worth six points.   A field goal is worth an extra point.

Each position individually is listed below with some skills they possess:

1. Quarterback: Leadership ability, arm strength, upper body development and a tall lean build.
2. Running back: Focus, agility, speed, balance, endurance and a compact muscular build.
3. Wide receiver: Speed, hand-eye coordination, jumping ability, agility, focus and a tall lean build.
4. Kicker: Focus, lower body strength and flexibility a soccer background.
5, Lineman: Power, strength, aggressiveness, discipline and a large build.
6. Linebacker: Aggressiveness, intensity, power, agility, and a large muscular build.
7.  Defensive back: Courage, aggressiveness, intensity, agility, quickness and a muscular build.

This should give you an idea of some of the basics when it comes to how to play football.  These can help you greatly understand the game better.
